2011: Elks Lodge
Sapulpa, Oklahoma
Located at 24 South Poplar built in 1923 as Elks headquarters and designed by architects Tankersley and Woolridge. Decorative details include a front symmetrical structure of red brick on a limestone stylobate. Paired ionic columns in Terra Cotta supporting a projecting pediment roof structure which forms a covering over the main entrance and its split pediment surround all trim and inlay work above.
Listed on the Oklahoma Landmarks Inventory in 1982 this building historically served as a commerce/trade site and at one time included an indoor pool, as time passed the pool was filled in and the space now serves as a banquet area and meeting hall still utilized by the Elks and is available to the public.
